From Oxbow’s website: The 10′0″ Sup is all about wave riding with maximum maneuverability. Not so different with regard to volume compared to the 11′0″. It may be 1ft. shorter but it packs its volume in thickness and width, this gives a board that’s more maneuverable when riding waves without any loss of stability when stationary.
Evaluators said:
“Stable, catches waves well”
“It’s stable and has good speed” (Advanced Male, 100 lbs.)
“Turning was “sick” on a wave”
“Paddled over white water well; good for late drops”
“I’d like to try downwinding this one, good tail edge and good takeoff speed” (Intermediate Male, 170 lbs.)
“Stable; the pad is too soft” (Intermediate Male, 160 lbs.)
“Good stability and setup before waves” (Advanced Male, 200 lbs.)
Summary: Good intermediate board, not for beginners. Great looking board and a great price point. Comes with a 9″ fiberglass center fin and two FCS GC side-bites. The 10′ is wider than the 11′ and so has nearly as much volume. It’s tippy but surfs well. If you’re moving up to a surfier board and you want to turn aggressively, this board would be a good choice.
