the first issue of Ke Nalu featured a board showcase–the first, and to this date only comprehensive board test for SUP boards and paddles. We tested about 45 boards, which was probably more than half of the boards available at that time.

Two of our testers were Asley Baxter and her pesky kid brother Connor, shown here shoving Ashley off the board they were riding tandem. Ashley is now an actress and model in Los Angeles, and Connor has won most of the important SUP races this year.
