Hey Ponobill , this  article of yours still is one of my favorites…   how about an update with  more information about  sailing on  the SUP's. ??

One of the things I have noticed in looking at all the forums is they each have their biases… standupzone  -most folks really not interesting in sailing thier sup's ,   hotsails maui …  nice but kind of quiet…. longboard windsurfing … biasis is toward Kona and ImCo  type longboard sailing …  I windsurf  also with bias  in any talk about longboards toward the KONA type longboards with straps and  pretty much windsurf specific  and lots of knocking  down the viability of  windsurfing on the sup's as a viable option

I have a Bic Jungle , I am landlocked   , in  sacramento area.. and though I have had fun with it standup paddling in the ocean and catching my  first few waves… I have mostly used it flat water standup paddling and windsurfing ..

the windsurfing aspect is great ,. . i have used it even in  20+ knot winds  without foot straps in the delta …  with harness but no straps …  ( a la your wild and wooly  post )    windsurfing on it  has a much more surfy feel then  strapped in  on a  wided bodied  formula type board ( my other  windsurf board ) ..
